ENGL234C - Shakespeare

Course Description

Prerequisite: Prerequisite: ENGL C1000 (ENGL 100 C) or ENGL C1000H (ENGL 100HC) or ENGL C1000E (ENGL 101 C) or ESL 110 C with a grade of C or better. Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is an introduction to the major works of William Shakespeare. The emphasis is upon the plays and includes a study of selected comedies, histories, and the major tragedies. Ten to twelve plays will be studied along with a selection of the sonnets. Duplicate credit not granted for ENGL 234HC. (CSU/UC Credit Limitation, AA GE, CalGETC)
