Course Description

This course provides students with foundational knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion within sport organizations. Topics include forms of diversity that affect the sport industry, including disability, social class and economic status, ethnicity and race, political affiliation and influence, age, gender and gender identity, and religion. Discussions include assessing organizational climate, planning strategically, implementing best practices, and using sport as a platform for social change.
