This course covers the growth of European civilization. Social, political, and cultural developments are integrated with the introduction of ideas and institutions basic to the understanding of one's own heritage. This course also covers the development of Western Civilization from the earliest times to the close of the Middle Ages. Advisory: ENGL C101
