ENGLT300 - Introduction to Fiction

Course Description

Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL C1000/C1000H (formerly ENGWR 300/480) or ESLW 340*General Education: Local GE L3 (effective Fall 2025); Cal-GETC Area 3B (effective Fall 2025)*This course covers the study of fiction as a type of literature. It typically examines at least twenty short stories and at least three novels, critically analyzing plot, setting, character, theme, and style. This course includes fiction written in English, as well as fiction in translation.
