Course Description

This course focuses primarily on the techniques, styles, performers, and historical evolution of jazz. In addition, a survey of African and African-American predecessors of jazz will be presented. Prerequisite: TI Music 113<197>3 Units DS Survey of Jazz AD English 1 or eligibility for English 1A or qualification by AD appropriate assessment NT formerly Music 13
